In 1 Samuel 22:1-2, we see that David, though anointed to be king, was not yet on the throne. He found himself in the Cave of Adullam, a place of refuge. But something powerful happened there—people who were in distress, in debt, and discontented gathered around him. They were tired of the way things were. They were frustrated, struggling, and ready for something different. And together, under David’s leadership, they became a movement for change.
This scripture speaks directly to what is happening in Ward 6 and South Jackson today.
People are tired—
- tired of unsafe neighborhoods,
- tired of tearing up their cars on pothole-ridden streets,
- tired of leaders who make promises but don’t deliver real results.
Just like the people who came to David, the people of our community are looking for leadership that understands their struggles and is ready to fight for them.
I am stepping forward to lead—not as a politician, but as a servant, an engineer, and someone who truly understands the problems we face. But just as David didn’t stand alone, I cannot do this alone. This campaign is not just about me; it’s about us, coming together as a movement, ready to build a better Ward 6.
If you are frustrated with the state of our city—if you are ready for real solutions and real leadership—then I ask you to stand with me.
Together, we can restore, rebuild, and revitalize our community, just as David and his people rose up from Adullam.
Join the movement. Let’s make history in Ward 6!
